Arriving at the rental station

Free pick-up and drop-off transfers between the Keflavik airport (KEF) and hotels around it and the rental station are included in each Touring Cars rental.

When making a booking with us we ask for you primary contact information (phone number and e-mail address) as well as for any possible flight details, for the smooth organization of your arrival and transfers.

Transfers, meeting points

Free of charge transfers from/to airport-based hotels as well as in the range of 6 km away from the rental station are included in your motorhome rental to assure the most comfortable way of traveling.

City transfer to Reykjavik is also available. Additional service is prearranged and available only with an additional fee.

Best things to do in iceland with a motorhome

1. Visiting the relaxing Blue Lagoon

This is probably the best-known open air spa in the world. Park your rental camper for a while and take a bath in bright blue geothermal water coming from 2000 meters below the surface. The temperature is always around 37-40°C (98- 104°F), year-round. Blue Lagoon is right on Touring Cars´ doorstep – the drive to this extraordinary place takes less than half an hour from our rental station.

2. An outdoor hike to Þingvellir National Park

Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park is one of the most famous historical sites in Iceland that was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2004. This magnificent area is truly worth adding to the itinerary of your rental camper adventure in Iceland. This area has unique geology and natural features. As an example, this is one of the rare places in the world where you can see a visual representation of the continental drift. Jaw-dropping sceneries that include waterfalls, hot springs and, a little further in the east, even volcanoes. Don’t forget to pack your fishing gear – waters in and around Þingvellir are a popular destination for fishing as well as scuba diving.

3. A city tour to the scenic Reykjavik

The tiny capital of Iceland without traffic jams and with plenty of parking places for your rental camper, surprises by offering such a variety of dynamic culture despite its size. The modern architecture of Perla, Congress Centre HARPA and Hallgrimskirkja represent the vision of today, whereas the outdoor museum Arbaejarsafn shows how the Icelandic people lived in the earlier years.

4. Explore the near by national parks and Vatna Glaciers

Most of our clients head towards Vatnajökull National Park, and for a good reason. It’s one of the largest glaciers in Iceland covering 13% of the territory of Iceland and it’s also the largest glacier mass in Europe. Sceneries cover numerous subglacial valleys and spectacular canyons. The scenery encircling the glacier is extremely varied so there is a lot to see and experience for the all-camper adventurers. At the northern part of this area you´ll find volcanoes Askja, Kverkjöll and Snæfell which dominate the area alongside powerful glacial rivers. Eastern parts feature vast wetlands and expansive ranges. The southern side is characterized by beautiful mountain ridges and numerous glaciers descending between them.
