Consider stopping by Tallinn before or after your journey with us. When you take the E20 road towards Narva, you can sense the vibes of the Gulf of Finland in northern Estonia. If you are eager to hike, we recommend stopping by\u00a0<strong>Lahemaa Rahvuspark<\/strong>\u00a0(national park) before heading to\u00a0<strong>Narva,\u00a0<\/strong>a border town next to Russia. This old town was established already in 1343 and is located next to&nbsp;<strong>Lake Peipus which is the largest transboundary lake in Europe,<\/strong>&nbsp;located between Estonia and Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you continue your drive on E264 you will arrive in\u00a0<strong>Tartu,\u00a0the second-largest city in Estonia<\/strong>. Tartu was mentioned in historical records dating back to as early as 1030 making it the oldest city in the Baltic states. Tartu is known for its university founded in the 17<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0century. Today it is also known to be a <strong>vibrant city, which offers a broad range of events, activities and historical spots for visitors<\/strong>. You can feel the unique mixture of the modern lifestyle with a down-to-earth way of living and a lively cultural scene. Along the way, you will find some great national parks to visit: Mahtra in the North and Alam-Pedja Reservaat near Tartu.\u00a0<strong>Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve is the largest nature reserve in Estonia<\/strong>. The area is rich in culture and old traditions. Do not miss out on visiting the Gediminas tower of the upper castle, representative of the nation itself. This iconic landmark is the major symbol of the city of Vilnius. Indulge in Lithuanian cuisine at one of the hundreds of local restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After heading outside Vilnius, choose a road E85 to visit\u00a0<strong>Kaunas,\u00a0<\/strong>the second biggest city in Lithuania and the<strong>\u00a0former capital of the country.\u00a0<\/strong>Make sure to stop at the <strong>medieval fortress<\/strong>. Additionally, the areas around Nemunas and Neris rivers are perfect places to spend time at and relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the busiest tourist months, it might be difficult to find a suitable parking place near the entrance to the castle, so we recommend parking and leaving a motorhome further away and taking a nice walk to feel the local atmosphere. Next to Klaipeda starts a very narrow land area,\u00a0<strong>Curorian Spit one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.<\/strong>\u00a0This unique dune builds a lagoon settlement in front of the Russian and Lithuanian coastlines and deserves a spot on your must-visit list.\u00a0In Lithuania, this area is also called Grob\u0161tas Nature Reserve.
