In a nutshell, it is a country of four seasons, breathtaking fjord sceneries and an intriguing Viking past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Geiranger Fjord offers snow-capped mountains, tortuous roads and beautiful small villages down by the fjord. This famous fjord region is located in the western part of the country, and can be reached conveniently on a road trip from Oslo to Bergen with a rental motorhome. One particularly amazing place to mention is The Atlantic Route which is an eight kilometer passage, connecting the towns of Kristiansund and Molde with low bridges bending over the sea. At the rental station you will be given a full personal orientation to your beautiful rental camper together with the latest tips on local customs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by indulging yourself to Scandinavian culture and visit Vigelandsparken in the Oslo area. It is a park filled with beautiful handmade sculptures and a great place to have a fun day outdoors. At the Bygd\u00f8y area is filled with museums from Kon-Tiki to the Viking museum. Holmenkollen ski-jump hill is also nearby and it\u2019s an impressive sight to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oslo&nbsp;to Halden,&nbsp;about&nbsp;150 km<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Halden is home to one of the most magnificent castles in Europe- the Fredriksten fortress. Participate in a guided tour to learn about its history and persistence through six wars and find the best places to see spectacular views over the town and fjord below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Halden to Fredrikstad, about&nbsp;37 km<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Not too far away from Halden is another great historical site to visit. This one is the best-preserved fortress town in Scandinavia. The town itself is known for the friendly and open local people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DAY 2 Sightseeing in Moss, visiting museums and marvelling at the endless views from a luxury mobile home on wheels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fredrikstad&nbsp;to Moss, about 39 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Moss brewery museums, only open on Saturdays.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moss&nbsp;to Horten, (60 min) by ferry&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Horten, the port city holds strong historical value in many ways. In Horten, you can view the monumental, authentic, Viking age burial mounds in their original setting. Similarly, culturally important is the house of Edward Munch, located in a beautiful, hidden location named \u00c5sg\u00e5rdstrand which translates to hill farm beach, which describes it perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Horten&nbsp;to \u00c5sg\u00e5rdstrand &#8211; T\u00f8nsberg, about 24 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u00f8nsberg is the oldest city in Norway with many locations worth visiting. Such as Brygga and a tower built on top of ground walls from the Viking ages, Slottsfjellet. Park your rental motorhome to take some time to rest and taste r\u00f8mmegr\u00f8t, a Norwegian porridge specialty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">T\u00f8nsberg&nbsp;to Tj\u00f8me &#8211; T\u00f8nsberg, about 51 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Tj\u00f8me is a group of wonderful islands resting in the sea, offering bypassers endless beautiful views. You can reach the World&#8217;s End &#8218;Verdens Ende&#8216;, which is the name for the southernmost tip of the islands of Tj\u00f8me, with over 220 sunny days a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">T\u00f8nsberg&nbsp;to Sandefjord, about&nbsp;27 km<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>It is recommended to stay clear of the highway, and rather take\u00a0the more relaxing road 303 for better chances of enjoying the views. Sandefjord has a special museum for whales and whaling, in fact it is the only one of its kind in Europe. Bergen is famous for its seafood and hiking possibilities. Take a trip with a funicular to Fl\u00f8yen, which is over 300 meters above sea level and offers the most breathtaking scenery over the city.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DAY 7 Trekking in Norwegian National Parks will leave you speechless!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bergen&nbsp;to Hardangervidde, about 160 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit a national park and take in the beautiful landscapes and breath the fresh air. Experience untouched nature, where mountains are steep, and dive into the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00c5ndalsnes&nbsp;to Molde, about 58 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DAY 11 Explore the caves before driving back&nbsp;the camper van to the beautiful&nbsp;Trondheim<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Molde to Naas \/ Eide about 26 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the coolest cave in Norway, and it\u2019s on the way to Kristiansund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Molde to Kristiansund, about 72 km<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kristiansund to Trondheim, about 197 km&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Returning of the motorhome to Trondheim airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On your way back, make sure to visit Nidaros Cathedral, which is built over the burial site of St. Olaf in the 11<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;century.
